 7300 tons of iron are needed to build this Giant Structure. 2,500,000 rivets, 5 lifts installed, and 60 tons of paint. Around 200 to 300 people were working on the construction site at the time.

Duration:

 It was a Big Project to build, the construction of the basement started on 26th January 1887, and completed the iconic Metal structure was on 31st March 1889. The days/years needed to complete the structure are 2 years,2month and 5 days.

Stephen Sauvestre was the principal architect.

He had also worked on the Gas Pavilion for the 1878 World Expo in Paris, as well as the Hotel Seyrig in Paris, before the Eiffel Tower.

Floors in The Eiffel Tower?

There are 3 Floors inside the Eiffel Tower. 1st floor at 57m (190 foot). You have to climb 328 Steps and the 2nd floor at 116m (380 foot) 346 Steps. At 276 meters, the highest and last level floor, there are 1665 steps from the ground to the summit. To get to the summit from the second level, you’ll need to take a lift.

When does the Eiffel Tower sparkle?

In 1985, New lighting system was installed with 350 high-pressure sodium bulbs by Pierre Bideau. The Sparkled Lighting was introduced on 31 Dec 1999, around 20,000 bulbs placed all over the Eiffel tower and a searchlight on top to create the sparkle effect, it was a surprising moment for visitors to see the wonderful light show on the night of the New Year 2000.

The Light starts to glow after the sunset to 1 am, during the sparkled lighting effect you can see are twinkling white lights. Every hour the sparkling light glows for 5min, during the show other illuminate turns off so that the twinkling light sparkles like a Star in the dark shadow. The final performance lasts a full 10 minutes.

In 1993 the Eiffel Tower Re-enter into Public Domain, but the problem is the Night-time lighting, which was installed in 1985, by Pierre Bideau. What is a suitable time to go to the Eiffel Tower?

The Eiffel Tower, it is a most visited and attractive place for tourist around the World. For some people, it is a romantic place to hang out and walk around the tower with your loved one. You can make a picnic near the Southside of the tower, there you may see a grassy area, perfect for a picnic spot, and see the wonderful view of the tower sitting/laying down.

The Stairs open along with the Eiffel tower opening time in the morning. Depends on which season or months you’re visiting. It is June to September month, stair open from 9 am to 12:30 am, rest of the month 9:25 am to 6:30 pm.

There are 3 floors in the Eiffel Tower, each floor has its atmosphere and design.

1st floor: it is 57m high from the ground, has anobservation deck, a restaurant, theater, and a shop.

On the Northside of the leg, you will see Gustave Eiffel Sculpture. 

If you’re hungry, there is a sneak bar shop that prefers various types of sweet and spicy food for kids and adults. Also, have a gift shop near the tower leg. 

The Eiffel Tower’s Evening Lights

The Eiffel Tower light up every night, when the sunset makes the dark sky fade in the city, the tower light glows up all over the metal structure gave a golden tone on it. 

You should go there before the sunset if you want to see the light-up moment on the tower. Do not worry if you miss it. The light stays on till 1 am, and the sparkled effect starts every hour for 5 min.  

Floors of Eiffel Tower 

2nd floor: 116m high have 2 decks for sightseeing and a restaurant

3rd floor: The top floor/summit height is 276 m, only accessible by lift/elevator, it is the highest observation deck in the European Union. Enjoy the panorama view from the Top-level. There is a private apartment of Gustave Eiffel and a champagne bar.

Eiffel Tower Climbing Experience

Climbing to the tower is a challenge to yourself, need stamina and patience. 

The Eiffel Tower has staircases on the 4 legs, you can climb up to the 1st and 2nd floor. The ticket counter is on the south pillar of the tower, but from there on spot, there is no online ticket sale for the stair.

Waiting for line for stair 20min to 30min, less than the lift line. There are 328 steps to reach the 1st floor. It’s better to take a water bottle while climbing, if you get tired sit on the stair for a while and take a photo, see the city view throw the metal cage. After getting to the 1st floor, there is a restaurant and gift shop, if you want to stop by or continue the climbing for another 346 steps to the 2nd floor,2 decks for sightseeing, observe the beautiful tourist place like, Louvre Museum and Seine River, and Shop at the 2nd floor. 

The distance of the top floor from the ground is 276m, around 160m from the @nd floors. The staircase from the 2nd to the top floor is publicly off, the only way to reach the top is by lift. If you use the lift from the ground floor to the 2nd floor directly, then from the 2nd floor you must change to a different lift to reach the summit. Yes, you can buy the ticket from the 2nd floor for the Summit/top floor.

The greatest viewing deck on the Eiffel Tower is on the top floor. There you may find Gustave Eiffel office, champagne bar and don’t worry there is 

a toilet facility if you want to use it.

 it is a popular restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. On the 2nd floor(125m) of the tower. Need reservation or you may miss the opportunity to taste the delicious foods and wine pairing also have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While taking the dinner, feel the stunning view of the city from a glass window. The restaurant has a private lift on the south pillar of the tower. You need to purchase a ticket to visit the Eiffel tower.

The Champagne Bar:

 It is located on the Eiffel tower’s top floor. (274m). walk around and take 360 panorama photos of the city while enjoying a glass of wine. Separate lifts are available to reach the Top floor
